Aqua Security turns unicorn, secured $135M in Series E Funding round

Aqua Security Software Limited has become the latest startup to join the unicorn club after the completion of $135 million in Series E funding round, which puts the Aqua’s valuation in excess of $1 billion.

The round was backed by the ION Crossover Partners with broad participation from the Aqua’s existing investors, which includes the Lightspeed Venture Partners, Acrew Capital, Insight Partners, Greenspring Associates, M-12 Microsoft Venture Fund, and TLV Partners.

According to the company report, the company has secured $265 million in funding since its foundation.

The startup was founded in 2015. It provides its customers with the freedom to innovate and run their businesses with minimal friction. The Aqua Cloud-Native Security Platform offers prevention, detection, and response automation across the entire application lifecycle to secure the build, cloud infrastructure, and running workloads wherever they are deployed.

Speaking about the new development, Dror Davidoff, CEO, and Co-founder of Aqua Security, said,
